Last week’s terrible school shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. was both heartbreaking and terrifying. It’s in times like these that we need to have honest and open conversations about the impacts of covering these events on our community.  

The CAJ’s Canadian News Industry Peer Support program will be hosting a facilitated drop-in session Friday, Feb. 20 for journalists who would like to talk about how the shooting has impacted their well-being. 

You do not have to have been at the scene to attend this session. Vicarious trauma is just as important to address. 

This session will not be recorded. All information will be kept confidential.
